A quieter month, and a bigger release on the way

This month has been a little quieter on the surface.

There is no single headline feature to point to, and that is partly intentional.

A lot of the work over the past few weeks has been about making Sequence more dependable underneath, tightening up the places where editing, importing, searching and moving through a project need to feel effortless.

That kind of work is easy to overlook.

Sequence is becoming a more capable app, and the more it can do, the more important it is that the fundamentals remain simple.

1.4 is coming soon

Sequence 1.4 is now in testing.

We are working through the release carefully before it goes out more widely, checking the rough edges and making sure the changes hold up across real projects and different editing workflows.

1.4 is an important step for Sequence.

It continues the move towards a faster, more flexible way to work with transcripts, media and edits, while keeping the process local, focused and non-destructive. It will be coming soon.

In the meantime, if you are using Sequence, this is a good time to make sure you are on the latest version. And if something feels awkward, confusing or slower than it should, please tell me.

Testing is useful, but there is no substitute for seeing how the app behaves in someone else’s actual work.
