Getting Started
What is Sequence
A quick introduction to transcript-led editing on your Mac.
Sequence turns spoken video and audio into a rough cut. Transcribe on-device, edit the transcript to shape what plays, then export finished media or continue editing in Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve. Your recordings stay on your Mac during transcription.
Get started
Start with a single video or audio file and follow these guides:
- Activate Sequence: sign in and start a trial or activate your licence.
- Import your media: create your first project and learn the workspace.
- Use the player: review your media with playback controls, captions, and frame capture.
Make your first transcript
Download the transcription model, then transcribe, edit, and clean up to turn the recording into an editable transcript and shape your first cut.
Choose the next step
- Detect and name speakers when you need to review who said what.
- Build a Multi-Cam edit for separate camera recordings of the same event.
- Choose recording tracks and mixes when one file contains several camera, screen, or audio streams.
- Add layers and reusable assets for logos, music, and live links to other edits.
- Create a Sequence Package to let another Sequence user continue editing.
- Browse the full guide list in the sidebar for playback, cleanup, organization, export, privacy, and recovery.
