The next chapter of Sequence is beginning...

Version 1.3.5 is now available on the website or via Mac App Store, bringing a wide range of improvements across the app and a new way to keep a growing library organized: project folders.
Folders let you group related projects together inside a catalog, so a series, shoot or batch of edits can stay together without getting lost in the rest of your library. They are useful today, but they also lay the groundwork for something bigger - Multicam. This new project structure is one of the first pieces of that puzzle.
CLI
The first release of Sequence CLI is also out - called sq.
You can use it to transcribe and inspect media, import files to the app, query projects and transcripts, monitor jobs, run maintenance tasks, and return structured JSON for your own scripts/agents to read.
This first release is a foundation rather than a one-to-one copy of everything in the app. The aim is to make Sequence useful in more places as the agentic world continues to grow and give technical users a practical way to start building it into repeatable workflows now, while the surface grows over time.
You can install it via Homebrew and the command is shown inside Sequence → Settings → General → Command Line Interface, or follow the new CLI guide on the website.
Refresh
The Sequence website has had a bit of a refresh, too.
It is faster, clearer and much easier to explore, with an improved documentation area. There is also a roadmap that shows what is coming next and currently being worked on.
Update to 1.3.5, organize a few projects into folders, explore the CLI if automation is your thing, and take a look around the new site.
