Latest v1.4.2
Reliable Relinking, Faster Filtered Playback, and Clearer Library State
Sequence 1.4.2 fixes media relinking and playback recovery, speeds up projects that use the profanity filter, and keeps speaker history intact when you rename someone. It also adds Clear All to Action Center and shows real progress during speaker detection.
Media Relinking and Playback Recovery
- Relink a folder once and Sequence recovers the media inside it, including linked external audio. Playback picks up from where you were before relinking.
- Relinking a folder now sticks. A library save that was already in progress can no longer undo a relocation you just finished.
- The same missing file is listed once, even when projects reference it with different capitalization, and a video still plays when its optional audio is missing.
Audio Editing
- Multi-Cam audio relinking now keeps every angle in step instead of leaving some angles pointing at the old file.
- The inspector separates audio into source, external, and normalized groups, and normalized actions appear only for audio that supports them.
- Removing a normalized reference asks for confirmation first. If only the normalized copy remains, you can delete it from the same place.
- Sequence verifies each normalized copy before using it, so a damaged or incomplete copy is not applied.
- Long projects with the profanity filter applied no longer freeze the interface for many seconds before playback starts.
Speaker Matching and Transcript History
- Renaming a speaker keeps the transcript history, including redo entries, instead of dropping earlier revisions.
- Fixed a failure that could occur when opening a project that already had saved speakers.
Action Center and Progress
- Added Clear All to Action Center. It appears when there is more than one row and at least one has finished. It clears finished rows only, so active work and inbox messages stay.
- Speaker detection in the transcript bottom bar now shows real progress, matching Action Center. Model loading still shows an indefinite spinner.
- Go to Project now dismisses finished Action Center rows, while jobs that are still running take you to the project without stopping.
Library and Models
- A project no longer keeps a stuck Normalizing or Transcribing status after that work has finished, and moving items in the catalog refreshes the library and Assets panes.
- Assets linked to a deleted project are hidden, and Multi-Cam deletion counts camera angles only.
- Finished speaker detection rows no longer stay in Action Center.
- Libraries open faster, because Sequence prepares the database as it needs it instead of all at once.
Notifications and Interface
- Background notifications now show only the task name. Project names and error details no longer appear outside the app.
- Removed a duplicate readiness banner from the Variant inspector, and the normalize section now offers only the trash action.
Localization and Labels
- Updated Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese translations.
- Interface labels now use consistent capitalization throughout the app.
