Project Editing and Variant Plans from Terminal

Sequence CLI 1.1.1 expands supported app workflows and includes Sequence runtime 4.2.2.

Transcript and Variant Workflows

  • List transcript sentences and enable or disable selected words or sentences.
  • Create variants and preview JSON editing plans before applying them.
  • Create a variant from a reviewed sentence selection and order, or apply a plan to an existing variant.
  • Inspect likely retakes and long pauses through cleanup analysis, then choose which suggestions to include in an edit.
  • Inspect the edited timeline’s source ranges, duration, and profanity audio treatment before delivery.

Projects and Jobs

  • List and add markers from Terminal.
  • Start app-managed transcription, remux, and model-download jobs, with job progress and cancellation controls.
  • Added project media probing and app diagnostic snapshots.
  • Improved preservation of clip metadata when creating variants from markers.

Installation and App Connection

  • Prefer the running app’s local broker for protected commands, reducing repeated Keychain queries.
  • Documented formula-scoped Homebrew installation with brew install rockstarsunlimited/sequence/sequence.

Requires an Apple silicon Mac running macOS 15 or later. App-backed actions depend on the installed app’s supported commands and access state.

See the CLI guide and published cli-v1.1.1 release.
