Dedicated MCP Cleanup and Export Tools

Sequence CLI 1.1.3 adds task-focused cleanup and export tools to the local MCP server. It includes Sequence runtime 4.2.8.

MCP Cleanup

  • Added dedicated typed tools for removing silence and filler words from an open project.
  • Use the dedicated cleanup tools rather than attempting to approve edits through sequence_cli --confirm.
  • Cleanup requires an active app session with Automation enabled, sign-in and activation completed, and Sequence unlocked.

Delivery and Connection

  • Added dedicated export tools alongside project discovery and rough-cut actions.
  • Continue using sq mcp serve as the local server entry point in compatible clients.
  • Reinstall an existing Sequence Dev extension if it still points to a removed local build.

The Apple silicon archive includes signed FFmpeg and FFprobe tools. The release passed packaging verification and Apple notarization. Requires macOS 15 or later.

See the CLI guide and published cli-v1.1.3 release.
