Export to Final Cut Pro

Final Cut Pro bundle

After editing the transcript and preparing the active variant, select Export in the toolbar.

Sequence writes a Final Cut Pro bundle that you can save wherever you like.

When the export finishes, you can open it directly in Final Cut Pro from Sequence, or open the saved bundle later from Finder. The export is built from the active variant, so make sure the correct tab is selected before exporting.

What to expect in Final Cut

The result is an editable timeline ready for graphics, effects, colour, and final mix work. Sequence includes the decisions from the active variant.

Cuts and re-arrangements

Hidden words, removed sections, sentence reordering, filler-word cleanup, silence removal, and profanity skip decisions are reflected in the exported timeline.

Audio

If the variant uses normalised audio or an attached external audio file, Sequence includes that prepared audio. Beep mode places the generated censor tone on its own track with short fades at each end.

Native titles (captions)

Sequence can create regular title clips from the transcript. Caption text respects your caption formatting settings and profanity redaction choices, so masked words appear the same way in exported titles.

For Final Cut Pro 12.3 or later, you can instead choose FCP Subtitles to create native subtitle clips. Use Regular Titles when you need compatibility with an earlier Final Cut Pro version.

Keywords

Enable clip keywords when you want transcript-derived keywords included with the Final Cut Pro handoff. These give you searchable ranges in Final Cut without changing the visible edit.

Markers and timing

Markers are exported into the Final Cut timeline just as they appear in Sequence.

If Sequence reports an export error, use the in-app issue reporter when possible or contact us through the Support page.
