When Sequence Is Upgrading Your Library
Why you may see this screen
When Sequence adds a core feature or makes an improvement under the hood, it may need to update the records in your library so they work correctly with the new version. The Upgrading library screen appears while Sequence carries out those changes safely.
What to do while it upgrades
Please be patient and let the upgrade finish. Sequence is checking and updating your library to keep your projects, media, and edits compatible with the current app version. When the process is complete, Sequence will return you to the app and you can continue working normally.
Avoid force-quitting Sequence or shutting down your Mac while the upgrade is in progress. Allowing the process to finish helps protect the integrity of your library.
How long will it take?
The time varies with the size of your library and the amount of information that needs to be updated. Small libraries may finish quickly, while larger libraries can take longer.
The bar in this dialog is an indeterminate progress indicator. It shows that the upgrade is active, but it is not a percentage complete or an estimate of how much time remains. It may continue moving without indicating exactly how far along the upgrade is.
If the screen remains unchanged for an unusually long time or appears every time you open Sequence, contact support and include the Sequence version and a description of what you were doing when it appeared.
